FXTM’s Head of Education in Nigeria, Conrad Okongwu, was delighted to bring his incredibly successful E-Trading Investment Summit back to an excited audience in Lagos, Nigeria, for two informative seminars and an advanced three-day workshop.  

These educational events are designed for investors who aim to improve their existing knowledge and develop their trading skills.

The Summit began on the 26 April with a one-day seminar at the Citiheight Hotel in Ikeja. 

Topics covered included:

• An Introduction to forex
• FXTM’s wide array of products and services
• Discovering the benefits of our innovative copy trading programme, FXTM Invest. 

The second seminar the next day was equally as fruitful, with attendees enjoying the chance to participate and ask their most pressing industry questions. Both days also ended with two lucky raffle winners receiving brand-new Android phones!

Next up was our three-day workshop, which was held at the FXTM Lagos Representative Office from 30 April to 2 May. 

This was an opportunity to focus more deeply on the forex fundamentals, such as:

• Trading platforms
• Placing trades 
• Stop Loss and Take Profit strategies
• An Introduction to Technical Analysis
• Japanese Candlesticks
• Risk-management principles
• Trading psychology and much more.

The turnout was truly outstanding, with close to 300 traders in attendance overall! It was great to see so much enthusiasm and interest and we can’t wait to come back to Lagos. FXTM would like to thank everyone that helped to make the Summit such a terrific success.

On 24 April, Han Tan, the latest addition to FXTM’s globally renowned Market Research team, conducted his first media tour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a highly experienced financial journalist specialising in the Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific regions, Han brings a wealth of knowledge and localised insight to his role of FXTM Market Analyst.

Malaysia’s leading financial media outlets gathered at the Aloft Hotel to hear Han speak about the global markets. The publications in attendance included Bernama, The Edge Financial Daily, The Sun, The Malaysian Reserve and national broadcast, TV3 and many more.

The topics under discussion spanned:

• The year-to-date performance and outlook for global currencies, with a focus on Asian currencies (including the Yen, Yuan, Singapore Dollar, Ringgit, Baht, Rupiah and Philippine Peso)

Back by popular demand, the E-Trading & Investment Summit returned to Port Harcourt in late April and early May, sponsored by FXTMPartners. 

FXTM Forex Trainer Godson Osagwu led two seminars and an advanced workshop. Turnout at all the events was excellent, with over 300 traders relishing the opportunity to get more practical insights into trading from an expert. 

Completely free to attend, the seminars on 26 and 27 April gave investors who are new to the markets the confidence and the knowledge they need to start their trading journey. Attendees enjoyed learning about the mechanics of trading and exploring the potential benefits of our investment programme, FXTM Invest. 

Lucky winners received a brand-new smartphone in a raffle draw at the end of both sessions. 

Next came the three-day workshop from 30 April to 2 May which covered more advanced topics, including:

• Navigating the global markets
• The different features of trading platforms
• Technical analysis and Japanese candlesticks
• The basics of resistance and support
• Moving average strategies
• Risk management techniques
• Trading psychology

On 28 April, FXTM’s Global Head of Currency Strategy and Market Research, Jameel Ahmad, and Market Analyst, Han Tan hosted a dynamic Q&A session in Lahore, Pakistan.
